Shows constellation of Orion, stars named, "Location" chart to show how chart fits in with charts 3, 4 and 5. Information panel about stars and air navigation, "Man is not lost" symbol in bottom R.H. corner. During the second world war there was a huge rise in the number of people being instructed in air navigation techniques. The Air Ministry produced star charts to display in places frequented by new air navigators, to help them become familiar with the main constellations.
