Contents Note: Sailing directions are included in the title, Views: there is an oval view of the lighthouse above the title and a coastal view of Chebucto Head extending across the foot of all three sheets, The chart shows the street-plan, dockyards and battery at Halifax. Plate changes: Imprint 1779. The grid plan of Halifax has been re-engraved, with fortifications around the dockyard and roads added. Other features: Printed on Bates paper. Border faint yellow, Halifax coloured red; red/brown coastal convention. Long view in watercolour.
