An oil tanker and cargo vessel in Arctic waters.
A starboard broadside view through a sea mist of an oil tanker, probably Norwegian flagged and built in Sweden, Denmark or Germany in the late 1930s. Off her port side is a British-built tramp ship, almost certainly of the Empire 'B' type. Both ships are on an outward bound JW series convoy in Arctic waters. The convoy series was numbered between JW51 and JW63.
