Officers of the escort carrier HMS Pursuer while in Arctic waters
Three officers of the escort carrier HMS Pursuer (1942) conferring on the flight deck while the ship was in Arctic waters. All three are wearing duffel coats, while the man on the right also has a pair of fur-lined mittens and heavy woollen socks over his shoes. The official Admiralty caption only identifies the figure in the centre as Commander G. F. Agutter. The man to the left has yet to be identified, but his cap badge marks him as a Chief Petty Officer. The gold wreath on the band of the cap worn by the officer on the right suggests he could be Acting Captain Harry Robert Graham, who commanded Pursuer throughout the duration of the War in Europe.
