Jug
White ironstone china jug, with a brown line around the rim. 'PORT LINE' transfer-printed in brown on a ribbon on the side. The maker's mark is printed on the base. This pattern was described by the donor, a purser with Port Line, as the 'Breakfast service'. The Port Line carried refrigerated cargo from Australia and New Zealand and manufactured goods on the outward journey; their ships also carried passengers. Blue Star and Port Lines operated under one management as Blue Star Port Lines from 1968.
