There is a compass, which is not aligned with the projection) at top right and a distance scale (of little utility, as the scaleof the map varies from north to south) at bottom left. The title is on a plinth which is surmounted by Europa and the bull (of classical mythology). The land in Tartary is decorated with tents and the Atlantic is decorated with a ship.
