HMS BELFAST (1938) EXPANSION OF INNER BOTTOM PLATING (AS FITTED)
Scale 1:48. A plan showing the inner bottom plating in way of the main machinery spaces of the Edinburgh class light cruisers HMS Belfast (1938) and HMS Edinburgh (1938).
The plan has been stamped and and signed by representatives of Harland & Wolff, and dated August 1940. A later stamp by the Manager of the Constructive Department, Devonport Dockyard is dated 14 October 1942 without alteration ("Noted"). Any drawing of the repairs has not been found. The drawing was originally drafted at Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson for HMS Edinburgh, but was subsequently amended and used for HMS Belfast.
