HMS BELFAST (1938) DOCKING PLAN (AS FITTED)
Scale 1:96 and 1:48. A plan showing the body, profile and longitudinal half-breadth of the Edinburgh class light cruisers HMS Belfast (1938) and HMS Edinburgh (1938), illustrating the docking arrangements required by the ship. The graphic data is accompanied by a table of offsets and a table of LCB and LCG for use when docking in flating docks.
The plan has been stamped and and signed by representatives of Harland & Wolff, and dated 24 August 1939.
The drawing was originally drafted at Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson for HMS Edinburgh, but was subsequently amended and used for HMS Belfast. It has has been heavily modified to reflect alterations carried out on the ship: Devonport in September 1942, Admiralty July 1943, Portsmouth March-July 1948, Admiralty April 1949 and Devonport September 1958.
