A kidney-shaped dish with a lobed handle, transfer-printed in brown with a floral border. In the centre is the coat of arms of Waterford surrounded by the inscription 'WATERFORD COMMERCIAL STEAM NAVIGATION COMPANY', being a shield divided horizontally, three lions passant guardant above and a ship below, supporters - a lion on the left and a dolphin on the right, the crest - a lion supporting an Irish harp. The motto on a ribbon below is 'URBS INTACTA MANET WATERFORD'. The maker's mark is printed and impressed on the base.
