Earthenware figure of Admiral Sir Charles Napier (1786-1860) commander of the Baltic Fleet during the Crimean War. He is shown full-length in uniform, holding his hat with a small cannon and shot on his right. The face and hair are realistically coloured, the shoes are black and the uniform is mainly white with some gilding. The back of the figure is left partly unmoulded and roughened. Inscribed on the base in gilt lettering is 'Sir Charles Napier'. The bottom of the hollow figure is enclosed.
