Bust
A Parian ware bust of Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) on a round socle after the marble bust by John Flaxman. He is depicted in rear-admiral's full-dress uniform with the stars of the orders of the Crescent, St Ferdinand and the Bath, and wearing the Naval gold medals for St Vincent and the Nile, with a third medal which is impressed 'NILE 1 AUGUST 1789'. The maker's name is impressed on the reverse of the bust with the date code.
