A brown earthenware figure with a silver lustre glaze depicting Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). The figure represents a naval officer in uniform and hat holding a speaking trumpet in his left hand, his right sleeve empty. He stands on a mound scattered with seashells in front of a gun with an anchor, telescope and flag. The whole, is on a square base with the maker's name stamped underneath.
