A Staffordshire figure of Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). It is modelled in the round with the weight on the left leg. The figure is supported by a square pink column with an orange cloth draped over it. The blue uniform coat has orange cuffs and collar, the details picked out in gilt as is the lace on the black hat. The face of the figure is painted in natural colours. The base is enclosed with a gilt line across the front. Nelson is shown in the 1830-1843 pattern uniform that had a red collar and cuffs in full dress.
