Figure
A Staffordshire, full-length figure of Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). The figure leans on a sword moulded in relief as part of the base and coloured. An anchor on the other side is treated in a similar way. The details on the blue coat are picked out in gold and the breeches are coloured pink, the sash and epaulettes yellow, and the hat black. At the back, the upper part of the figure is moulded and coloured; the lower part is left white. The base is enclosed and bordered with a gilt line.
