Bag
Bag from Papua New Guinea made of netted bark fibre string with a handle. It has a pattern of stripes and checks in yellow, white and blue, now somewhat faded.
This is a small bag, probably intended for a man to carry personal items, where a woman’s bag would be much larger. This example was formerly in the collections of the London Missionary Society.
