A group of officers posing for the camera on the port side of the quarterdeck of the light cruiser HMS Aurora (1913). Identified officers include Sub-Lieutenant John H. Bowen standing in front of the blast screen, (second from left with hands in pockets) Sub-Lieutenant Arthur M. Tilsley, RNVR, and (far right) Lieutenant Commander Arthur W. Bromley, RNR, standing by the sounding box. In front of the sounding box are the 4 inch shells in their ready use racks. The photographer was standing on the port side of the ship by the 3 inch anti-aircraft gun looking aft.
