A Coastal Motor Boat (CMB) suspended in the starboard davits on board HMS 'Aurora' (1913).

A view taken from the starboard bridge wing of the light cruiser HMS 'Aurora' (1913) towards a Coastal Motor Boat suspended outboard in the starboard davits. These davits would normally have held the 34ft cutter. The CMB is partially covered with a tarpaulin.

The Aurora was prepared for trial of motor boats on 8 August. No further mention of the boats is made for August. [Ship's Log, TNA, ADM 53/34495]
