The Deperdussin No. 1378 on the runway on the forecastle of HMS 'Aurora' (1913).

The Deperdussin Monoplane No. 1378 on a temporary wooden runway fixed to the forecastle of the light cruiser HMS 'Aurora' (1913). The photographer was standing by the stem (in the bows) looking aft towards the bridge and control top. A number of sailors and officers are standing on the starboard side of the runway. The Deperdussin was successfully launched on 4 November 1915 from the 'Aurora'.
