A blurred photograph of Paymaster William R. Roe and Engineer Lieutenant Stanley Hocken posing for the camera on the light cruiser HMS 'Aurora' (1913). The ship is underway. Eng. Lt. Hocken is dressed in working rig (a smock, trousers and holding a pair of gauntlet gloves). He was appointed to the 'Aurora' on 14 July 1915 and the photograph was originally dated 1915.
