Buff stoneware figure of Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) based on E. H. Baily's statue in Trafalgar Square. He is shown in uniform and hat with a coil of rope behind, the figure standing on a square plinth inscribed 'NELSON 1805-1905'. The name of the modeller 'J. Broad Sc' is inscribed on the base with the impressed maker's mark.
