Five seamen in borrowed officers' uniforms on the quarterdeck of HMS 'Aurora' (1913).
Six seamen dressed in borrowed officers' uniforms on the port side of the quarterdeck of the light cruiser HMS 'Aurora' (1913) near the accommodation ladder. The seaman fourth from left is wearing a Captain's jacket, while the seamen either side of him are in Commanders' jackets. The costumes of the outer seamen are unclear. The photographer is standing near the anti-aircraft gun looking aft and to port. On the left, behind the seamen is the after six-inch gun blast screen.
The negative is a little dark.
The middle three seamen in the commander and captain uniforms are identified as Smith, Sutton and Brown, but it is unclear as to which is which in the photograph.
