A view of Paymaster William R. Roe using a skipping rope on the port side of the quarterdeck of the light cruiser HMS 'Aurora' (1913). Behind him is another (unidentified) officer skipping. Lieutenant Arthur W. Bromley, RNR, is standing on the left near the after 6 inch gun blast screen. There are two unidentified officers on the left of the image. The photographer was standing near the after six inch gun looking forward towards the boat deck.

The negative has scuff marks on the emulsion side that shows on the prints.
