Bust
White felspar porcelain bust of Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) in uniform wearing the orders of the Bath and Crescent and with a ruffled shirt front, the hair short with no queue. The face is based on the bust by Lucius Gahagan (see SCU0097). The inscription 'Horatio Lord Nelson' is incised on the back. It forms a pair with a similar example showing the Duke of Wellington. The base has been replaced by a wooden one.
