Staffordshire figure of Admiral Sir Charles Napier (1786-1860), commander of the Baltic Fleet during the Crimea War. He is shown standing on a grassy base leaning on a support draped in a pink cloth and with a cocked hat in his right hand. He wears uniform with a blue coat and white trousers, the details picked out in gold. The face is painted in naturalistic colours. 'C. NAPIER' is inscribed on the base. The base of the hollow figure is closed and is surrounded by a gilt line.
