Figure group

An earthenware figure group representing a sailor and a Greenwich pensioner. The pensioner is seated on yellow and brown wall, one hand raised to his hat, wearing a blue coat, pink trousers, blue jacket, green waistcoat, brown neckerchief and with a yellow handkerchief in his pocket. He has a beard and a peg leg. The boy sailor is giving the pensioner a purse and is wearing a blue jacket, white trousers, red, green and white striped waistcoat, black neckerchief and brown hat. The details of the uniforms is picked out in gilt. The upper part of the group is moulded on the reverse, the lower part is flat and the base is enclosed.
