A porcelain figure wearing the 1748-1767 pattern full dress uniform of an Admiral. He has a black tricorn hat, blue breeches and coat (the latter with white cuffs) and a white waistcoat. The coat, waistcoat and hat have the gold lace represented by gilding. The figure is shown taking snuff. 'Admiral 1748' is inscribed on the base with the Dresden gold anchor mark. One of a series of figures illustrating the development of British naval uniform.
