Earthenware figure representing Hope, shown with her left elbow leaning on an anchor, her right arm across her waist. Pearlware with overglaze enamel painted decoration. Her head is covered by a yellow veil with an orange border. She wears sandles and a white robe painted with blue and red flower sprigs and a blue border. Her belt is coloured mauve. The figure stands on a white square base. A similar figure with the impressed mark 'T. Smith' is in the City Museum and Art Gallery, Stoke on Trent.
