Portrait medallion
Green jasper portrait medallion depicting Admiral of the Fleet, Adam, 1st Viscount Duncan (1731-1804). Duncan is shown in uniform facing to the left. Modelled by John de Vaere in 1798. The original wax is illustrated by Barnard in 'Connoisseur' May 1930. The maker's name is impressed on the back with the incised inscription: 'Duncan'.
