A group photograph of the crew of the captured German trawler Adjudant (1894) taken on board the light cruiser HMS Aurora (1913). Three British sailors are standing on the right armed with short swords in belts from their waists. The photographer was standing on the starboard side of the upper deck looking forward towards the boat deck.
Aurora left Harwich on the evening of 29 September and stopped a German trawler at 330pm on 30 September, transferring the crew and sending over a prize crew [Ship's Log, TNA, ADM 53/34495]. This vessel was brought into Harwich by a prize crew and added to the Royal Navy as HMS Campsin.
