General Naval photos, 1907-1912
A cloth and brown covered album. Spine loose. 372mm x 278mm x 60mm.
This is an album of two halves. The first half contains photographs dating from 1907 to 1912 when Buckley was serving first as a Sub Lieutenant and then as a Lieutenant. There are group photographs of his class at the Navigation School, at Whale Island and at Greenwich. Ships include HMS Dominion (1903) , HMS St Vincent (1908) and HMS Bellerophon (1907). There are also groups of family, friends and picnic parties. The second half of the album covers Buckley’s time in HMS Warspite (1913) from 1926-27 and are mainly views of Venice and Gallipoli.
