The crew are standing with their kit bags on the port side of the upper deck with the aftermost 4 inch gun behind them. The photographer was standing on the upper deck looking forward towards the superstructure.
The Aurora was on patrol from 6 October to the morning of 8 October, zig zagging as required for examining trawlers. The Resie was brought into Harwich as a prize and taken into the Royal Navy as the Clearsin.
