Laforey (1913)
Scale 1:48. This plan is titled H.M.S. Laforey Lower Deck, Hold & Sections as fitted.
This highly detailed plan relates to the destroyer Laforey (1913) and shows the lower deck, forward hold, after hold, starboard sections at frames 149, 143, 127, 120, 108 and 93, all looking aft, and starboard sections at frames 69, 48, 37, 27, 18 and 9, all looking forward. The plan is fully colour washed to indicate the materials used in the construction of the ship and all compartments, fixtures and fittings are labelled. There are five tables relating to the content of the ship’s armament stores with a table for each of the torpedo head room, the 4” shell room forward, the 4” magazine forward, the 4” shell room and small arms magazine aft and, lastly, the 4” magazine aft. There is a table listing water tank capacities, another listing oil fuel tank capacities and finally one giving the capacities of miscellaneous oil tanks.
