Ashtray related to H.M.S. 'Royal Oak'
Wardroom ashtray stamped with the unofficial badge of HMS 'Royal Oak' 1914. The badge shows two oak branches with a crown in the centre, 'H.M.S. ROYAL OAK' on a ribbon below. HMS 'Royal Oak', launched 1914 and completed 1916. She was present at Jutland, and was sunk by U-47 at Scapa Flow in 1939. This item relates to her First World War career.
