Figure group
A Sevres biscuit porcelain group of a wild boar hunt. The boar stands over one hound which lies on his back while the other bites the boar's ear. The figures stand on a base with tree trunks. There is a separate shaped base with painted gold borders and an oval hole. The group is contained in a gold-tooled leather box with a handle and inscribed brass plate on the lid 'OFFERTE PAR LA MARINE FRANÇAISE VICE-ADMIRAL LIMPUS SUPERINTENDANT DE L'ARSENAL DE MALTE.' The maker's mark and date stamp are impressed on the back.
