Tile
Part of a delftware tile in tin-glazed earthenware, painted with white figures on a blue background outlined in purple. Cherub's heads and part of a nude female are discernable. There are traces of plaster on the back. It was found with the remains of a 17th century barge carrying bricks, excavated on the banks of the Thames between Blackfriars and Southwark bridge.
