A port broadside view of a Twaqo type junk at anchor in the Singapore River, Singapore, but with her single lug sail set. The swim-headed bow has an occuli and a windlass is on the fore deck. The General Post Office building is on the left. The photographer was at Singapore on four occasions during 1937 and 1938: 9 April to 1 May 1937, 13 January to 26 February 1938, 9 March to 23 March 1938 and 17 September to 30 September 1938. A vertical format negative.
