A close view of the rudder post of a peaked stern Twaqo type junk alongside a berth at Singapore. The photographer is on board the vessel looking aft at the rudder post which is inside the transom. The square hole for the tiller is clear to see. The photographer was at Singapore on four occasions during 1937 and 1938: 9 April to 1 May 1937, 13 January to 26 February 1938, 9 March to 23 March 1938 and 17 September to 30 September 1938. A vertical format negative.
