The vessel is of the two masted type, the transom and bulwark are gaily painted and the vessel is named See Hin, registered at Singapore with the port number 2934. A number of Tongkung type ketch rigged junks are in the background. The photographer was at Singapore on four occasions during 1937 and 1938: 9 April to 1 May 1937, 13 January to 26 February 1938, 9 March to 23 March 1938 and 17 September to 30 September 1938.
