A port quarter view, taken from fine off the stern, of a peaked stern Twaqo type junk anchored in Singapore harbour. The vessel is of the single masted type and is registered at Singapore with the port number 1524. She has an accommodation shed aft. The lug sail is stowed fore and aft. The photographer was at Singapore on four occasions during 1937 and 1938: 9 April to 1 May 1937, 13 January to 26 February 1938, 9 March to 23 March 1938 and 17 September to 30 September 1938. A vertical format negative and the horizon is not quite level.
