The bell stemmed harbour junk Hak Heng No. 1 moored at Singapore

A starboard side view, taken from well abaft the beam, of the bell stemmed harbour junk Hak Heng No. 1 moored at Singapore with other junks. The vessel is three masted and the tops of her main and mizzen masts are out of the picture. She has her sail battens but the sail cloth has been removed. She has an awning rigged over her forecastle. The photographer was at Singapore on four occasions during 1937 and 1938: 9 April to 1 May 1937, 13 January to 26 February 1938, 9 March to 23 March 1938 and 17 September to 30 September 1938.
