A port side view of a Hong Kong type junk anchored at Singapore

A port side view, taken from well abaft the beam, of a Hong Kong type junk anchored at Singapore. She is a two masted vessel and the top of the mainmast is out of the picture. Her lug sails are stowed fore and aft and she has an awning above the poop. She has an overhanging stern with a boat suspended from booms over the stern. The photographer was at Singapore on four occasions during 1937 and 1938: 9 April to 1 May 1937, 13 January to 26 February 1938, 9 March to 23 March 1938 and 17 September to 30 September 1938.
