A port quarter view of a foresail occuli trader junk anchored in the Singapore River. The vessel is two masted and her three lug sails are stowed fore and aft. She has a large perforated rudder under an overhanging stern. She has the port number 3043 painted on her stern. Tongkung type ketch rigged junks are in the background. The photographer was at Singapore on four occasions during 1937 and 1938: 9 April to 1 May 1937, 13 January to 26 February 1938, 9 March to 23 March 1938 and 17 September to 30 September 1938.
