A stern view of the occuli C/B trader junk 3098 at anchor in the Singapore River

A stern view, taken from very fine off the port quarter, of an occuli C/B trader junk anchored in the Singapore River. The vessel is three masted and her lug sails are stowed fore and aft. An awning is rigged aft, a sampan is alongside and five or six cylindrical net containers are hanging over the stern rail. The port number 3098 is painted on her stern. The photographer was at Singapore on four occasions during 1937 and 1938: 9 April to 1 May 1937, 13 January to 26 February 1938, 9 March to 23 March 1938 and 17 September to 30 September 1938. Negatives numbers P34018 to P34020 inclusive are of the same junk.
