A port near broadside view, taken from just ahead of the beam, of a sampan under sail in Penang harbour. The boat has occuli on the bow, has a single mast with a lug sail set and has a crew of two. She is well laden. A steam tug is in the background. The photographer was at Penang 28 February to 7 March 1938.
