A starboard quarter view of a junk in Penang harbour

A starboard quarter view, taken from wide off the stern, of a junk at anchor in Penang harbour. She is of the three masted type, her lug sails are stowed fore and aft and she has an accommodation shelter aft. A sampan is alongside amidships. Her stern, including the mizzen mast, is out of the picture and the top of her mainmast is just out of the picture. The photographer was at Penang from 28 February to 7 March 1938. A vertical format negative.
