The bow of the trader type junk P.646 anchored at Penang

A close-up view of the port bow of a three masted trader junk at anchor in Penang harbour. She has the port number P.646 and has asharp stem and an occuli on her bow. Her lug sails are stowed fore and aft and the tops of her fore and main masts are out of the picture, as is everyhting aft of the mainmast. The photographer was at Penang from 28 february to 7 March 1938. A vertical format negative.
