On board a two masted trading junk which is anchored at Penang
On board a two masted trading junk which is anchored in Penang harbour. The photographer is on the port side of the deck abaft the after hold but ahead of the poop looking forward. Both holds have tarpaulin covers. Her lug sails are stowed fore and aft and her masts above the booms are out of the picture. Long poles are stowed on either side of the forward hold. The photographer was at Penang from 28 February to 7 March 1938. Negatives numbers P34052 to P34054 inclusive were taken on board the same vessel.
