Running rigging on board a two masted trader type junk in Penang harbour
A close-up of running rigging close to a boom on board a two masted trading junk which is anchored in Penang harbour. The photographer is looking at three different types of wooden blocks including double ended blocks with single sheaves at each end. There is also a connecting block with a single sheave at one end and a hole at the other. The photographer was at Penang from 28 February to 7 March 1938. Negatives numbers P34052 to P34054 inclusive were taken on board the same vessel.
