A bow view of a cargo sampan under sail in Tolo Harbour, Hong Kong

A bow view, taken from very fine off the starboard bow, of a Tolo Harbour cargo sampan under sail in Tolo Harbour, Hong Kong. She has a single lug sail set on a pole mast, a lug sail set on a short pole foremast and a square stunsail set to port on a yard suspended from the mainmast with a boom at the bottom of it. A matting shelter is aft of the mainmast and she has a crew of two. The photographer was in the area on four occasions: 6 to 28 May 1937; 14 October 1937 to 8 January 1938; 14 April to 4 June 1938 and 8 to 12 September 1938.
