A slightly distant starboard quarter view of a Hong Kong frame stern fisher type junk in Hong Kong harbour
A slightly distant starboard quarter view of a Hong Kong frame stern fisher type junk in Hong Kong harbour. She has her mizzen lug sail hoisted but her main and fore sails are stowed. Fishing nets are hanging out to dry over a pole suspended from the fore and main masts and another suspended out from abreast the starboard bow. A number of junks are berthed bow-on to the shore in the right background. Flat roofed buildings with balconies are in the left background. The photographer was in the area in the following periods: 6 to 28 May 1937; 14 October 1937 to 8 January 1938; 14 April to 4 June 1938 and 8 to 12 September 1938.
